Factual Data, Not Advice

This page states plainly what the data is and what it is not. It applies to every endpoint, field and figure in this API, and is echoed in the disclaimer of every response meta.

What the data is

  • Factual historical data. It reports what a set of strategies did in a backtest run over public market data.
  • Backtested / modelled. Figures come from a bar-by-bar simulation, net of a documented fee & slippage model. Risk-rescaled figures are modelled from the base backtest, not re-simulated.
  • For professional / institutional use, under a global data license (Licensing).

What the data is not

:::warning Not advice

  • Not investment advice and not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.
  • Not a forecast or prediction. Nothing here projects future performance.
  • Not an offer or solicitation, and not a representation that any strategy is suitable for you.
  • Not a claim about live trading. Backtested results are hypothetical; they do not reflect live execution, funding, market impact, or a specific live allocation (Provenance). :::

Past performance

Past performance is not indicative of future results. Backtested performance has inherent limitations: it is constructed with hindsight, it does not involve financial risk, and no backtest can fully account for the effect of real market conditions on a live strategy.
